Lorilyn and Paul Swanson celebrated their golden anniversary, 50 years, Dec. 28, 2013. The couple wed Dec. 28, 1962 at the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Enumclaw, Wash.
He retired from his position as the Eaglecrest Ski Area Manager in 2004 after a 41-year career in the ski industry. Today, he continues to serve the Juneau ski community as a volunteer track setter for the Mendenhall Nordic trail system. She is the manager of Fireweed Place, an independent living facility for senior citizens, and serves as a senior advocate in various policy forums.
